Straight answer first

What we will and will not promise

Plenty of services will guarantee you a set number of placements on sites graded by domain authority, at a fixed price per link. That is not guest posting, it is buying links, and Google treats links placed to manipulate rankings as link spam. The penalty lands on the site being linked to — yours.

So here is what we will not do: guarantee a placement before an editor has seen the pitch, price by DA tier, or publish on a site that exists to host paid posts. If those are the terms you want, we are the wrong supplier and you will find others easily.

What we will do is write something worth publishing and pitch it properly. Some pitches are declined. The ones that land are on publications with real readers, which is the only kind worth having.

Why it works

The value is the audience, not the link

A guest post on a publication your buyers already read puts your thinking in front of people who have never heard of you, with the publication's credibility behind it. That is worth having whether or not the link is followed — and increasingly, good publications mark contributor links nofollow.

The link is a by-product. When it comes from a genuine editorial placement it is the kind search engines have always counted, precisely because it could not be bought. When it comes from a paid post it is the kind they discount or penalise. Same anchor text, opposite outcome.

This is why we ask what you are actually trying to achieve. If you want traffic and credibility, guest posting is a good fit. If you want a specific number of backlinks by a specific date, no honest supplier can sell you that.

How it works

From target list to published article

1. Agree the targets

We build a shortlist of publications your buyers read, and you approve it. Anything you would not be proud to appear in comes off the list before we start.

2. Find the angle

We read what each publication has already run. An editor rejects a pitch because it repeats last month's article far more often than because the writing is weak.

3. Pitch

Sent to a named editor, in the format that publication asks for. You see the pitch first. Some are declined and we tell you which, rather than quietly moving on.

4. Write to their guidelines

Once a pitch is accepted, the article is written to that publication's house style, length and linking rules — not to a template.

5. Editorial back-and-forth

Editors ask for changes. We handle that round with them directly so it does not land on your desk.

6. Published, with the URL

You get the live link and the pitch history — including what was turned down, so the next round targets better.

What you get

What is included

Priced per campaign, because a placement in a trade title and one in a niche blog are not the same work.

  • A researched target list, approved by you before any approach is made
  • Pitches written for a named editor, not a mail merge
  • The article itself, written to the publication's own guidelines
  • Editorial revisions handled with the publication directly
  • An author bio and byline that reads like a person, not a keyword
  • A report of what was pitched, what landed, and what was declined and why
  • No private blog networks, link farms, or sites that sell posts

Honest limits

What this cannot do quickly

Editorial timelines belong to the editor. A pitch can be answered in two days or sit for a month, and a publication can accept a piece and schedule it for a quarter out. The two business day turnaround quoted elsewhere on this site is for writing we control; it does not apply to anything that depends on someone else saying yes.

Volume is limited by relevance. There are only so many publications worth appearing in for any given niche, and pitching the same one repeatedly is how you stop being read there. A programme that runs steadily for months beats a burst that burns the list.

If a campaign is not working — the pitches are not landing, the angle is wrong, the target list was too ambitious — we will say so and change it rather than keep invoicing.

Pricing

What it costs

Quoted per campaign rather than per link, because the cost sits in research and pitching rather than in word count. A placement in a competitive trade publication takes several attempts and a stronger piece than one in a niche blog, and pricing that identically would only mean overcharging for the easy ones.

Tell us the publications you want to appear in, or the audience you want to reach if you do not have a list yet, and we will come back with a target list and a price for the campaign.

We do not charge for placements that do not happen.

Questions

Questions about guest blogging

Still unsure about something? Talk to a specialist — no script, no sales pitch.

No, and anyone who does is either paying for them or publishing on sites that exist to sell posts. We guarantee the work — research, pitching, and an article worth running. The editor decides the rest.

Never. Both are against Google's link spam policy, and the penalty falls on your site rather than ours. If a target site turns out to sell placements, we take it off the list and tell you.

Many good publications mark contributor links nofollow, and it is not a reason to decline the placement. The value is being read by that audience with that masthead behind you. A followed link from a site nobody reads is worth less.

From pitch to publication is usually a few weeks and sometimes longer, because the schedule is the publication's. We will give you a realistic range for your specific target list rather than a number that sounds good.

Fewer than most services will sell you. A handful of pieces in publications your buyers genuinely read does more than dozens of placements nobody sees, and it does not burn your reputation with the editors who matter.

Whoever you want — usually a named person at your company, since publications increasingly want a real author with a real background. We write it; you own the byline.
