Ebook Cover Design Service
Ebook Cover Design Service
On an ebook store, your cover is a small rectangle in a grid of other small rectangles. We design ebook covers that read clearly at that size, signal your genre in a glance and look sharp when a reader taps through to the full image.
Starting from
$50
- Designed in-house, never subcontracted
- Sized to Kindle's recommended proportions
- Choose 2, 4 or 6 initial concepts
- Revisions included until the brief is met
The problem
Ebook covers are seen smaller than you think
Most ebook covers are designed full size on a large monitor and judged there. Readers mostly see them as thumbnails in search results, on recommendation strips and in their library, often on a phone. At that size, a subtitle in thin type disappears, a detailed scene turns into texture, and an author name set small becomes a smudge.
An ebook cover has to work at both sizes. At thumbnail, the reader should be able to tell the genre and read the title. At full size, the detail and finish should reward a closer look and match the quality of the writing inside.
We design for the thumbnail first and check every concept at the sizes it will actually be seen.

How it works
Our ebook cover design process
1. Brief and quote
Tell us your title, genre, a short summary and covers you like. We confirm the price and the number of concepts before starting.
2. Questions
We ask about anything unclear: tone, audience, imagery to avoid, and what you hope readers feel when they see the cover.
3. Concepts
Your chosen number of concepts, typically within two business days of an agreed brief.
4. Revisions and delivery
Feedback in writing or by voice note, changes to background, colour, image or font until the brief is met, then final files.
Specifications
Ebook cover sizes and files
Amazon KDP's guidance gives an ideal ebook cover of 2,560 pixels tall by 1,600 pixels wide, a height-to-width ratio of 1.6 to 1, supplied as a JPEG or TIFF. Other ebook stores accept similar portrait proportions. We deliver your cover at a size that meets these recommendations, with minimal compression, because the store applies its own compression when it displays the image.
Planning a paperback too? An ebook cover is the front only. A print edition needs a full wrap with spine and back cover, sized to your page count. We can design the ebook cover now and extend it to print later, or quote both together through our book cover design service.

What ebook cover design costs
Ebook cover design starts at $50. The final price depends on how many concepts you choose, whether the cover needs custom illustration instead of licensed imagery, and whether you need extra versions such as a box set or print wrap. You get a fixed quote before any work starts.

Our ebook covers start at $50. The price rises with the number of concepts you want to see, custom illustration and extra formats such as a print wrap or box-set image. You receive a fixed price before we start.
Amazon KDP recommends 2,560 pixels tall by 1,600 pixels wide, a 1.6 to 1 ratio, as a JPEG or TIFF. We supply covers at that size so they look sharp on high-resolution screens and meet the requirements of other ebook stores too.
If you already know the look you want, two concepts are usually enough. Four give you a real comparison between approaches. Six are useful if you are unsure how to position the book, or are deciding between genres or tones.
The first concepts are typically ready within two business days of an agreed brief. Covers that need custom illustration take longer, and the timeline is agreed with your quote. Revisions follow as quickly as you send feedback.
Yes. Once your print interior is laid out and you know the page count, we extend the design into a full wrap with spine and back cover on your printer's template. It is quicker than designing a print cover from scratch.
Yes. Business ebooks and downloadable guides need covers that match your brand and look credible in sign-up forms and ads. We design those as well as covers for books sold on ebook stores.
