Newsletter Writing Service
Newsletter Writing Service
A newsletter is the one marketing channel where your readers have asked to hear from you. We write issues worth that permission: useful, readable on a phone, and sent on a schedule you can keep.
- Written by an in-house team, never subcontracted
- Subject lines and preview text included
- Set up in your email platform on request
- No lock-in contract on standard services
The problem
Why most newsletters get ignored
Most business newsletters are written in an afternoon when someone remembers it has been a while. They contain whatever was to hand: a product update, two old blog links, a photo from the office party. There is no reason to open the next one, so people stop.
The newsletters people keep reading have a clear promise. Readers know what they will get: a useful tip each week, the month's changes explained, a curated list of what matters in the industry, a story from the business. Each issue delivers that promise, and the selling, when there is any, comes after the value.
We help you decide what your newsletter is for and who it serves, then write every issue to that standard, so readers come to expect something worth opening.

How it works
From plan to inbox
1. Define the newsletter
Audience, promise, frequency and the action you want readers to take. Written down so every issue serves it.
2. Plan the issues
We propose topics for the coming month or quarter and you approve the plan.
3. Write and review
Each issue is drafted, edited and sent for your approval ahead of the send date.
4. Build and send
If you want, we build the issue in Mailchimp, Klaviyo, HubSpot or similar and schedule it, then review open and click figures with you.
Rules and deliverability
The basics every newsletter needs
Commercial email has rules. In the US, the CAN-SPAM Act requires a valid physical postal address in each message and a working way to opt out, with opt-out requests honoured within 10 business days. Other countries have their own rules, and some require clear consent before you email anyone at all.
Mailbox providers have tightened up too. Since February 2024, Gmail and Yahoo have required high-volume senders to authenticate their email and offer one-click unsubscribe. Whoever manages your email platform should confirm your setup meets these requirements. We write and build every issue with a clear unsubscribe link and honest subject lines, and only send to lists you confirm were collected with permission.
Pricing
What newsletter writing costs
Newsletter writing is billed at our content rate, from $12.95 per 100 words. Most clients prefer a fixed price per issue or per month, which covers planning, writing and, if you want them, design, building and scheduling. You get the figure before we start, and there is no lock-in contract.

As often as you can send something worth reading, consistently. For many businesses that is monthly or fortnightly; for content-led brands it may be weekly. A reliable monthly issue usually does better than an ambitious weekly one that keeps slipping. We help you choose a frequency you can sustain.
Yes. With access to your email platform, such as Mailchimp, Klaviyo, HubSpot or Constant Contact, we build each issue in your template, test it on desktop and mobile, and schedule it. You approve the final version before it goes out.
Something your readers value enough to open: practical tips, clear explanations of changes that affect them, curated industry news with your view, stories from your business or early access to offers. Most strong newsletters focus on one main idea per issue rather than trying to include everything.
Long enough to deliver the promise and short enough to read on a phone in a few minutes. Some successful newsletters are 200 words with one link; others are long, essay-style letters. The format should suit your audience, and we will suggest one based on what you want readers to do.
We can write sign-up page copy, welcome sequences and lead magnets such as short guides that give people a reason to subscribe. We do not buy or rent email lists; contacting people who did not opt in damages deliverability and may break the law.
If we send the newsletter, we review open rates, clicks and unsubscribes with you after each issue or monthly. Open figures are less reliable than they used to be because of mail privacy features, so we pay most attention to clicks and replies.
