The problem
Sincere books still need strong editing
Many Christian manuscripts begin as sermons, small-group notes or a personal testimony. That origin shows. Spoken material repeats itself, leans on the speaker's presence and assumes the room already agrees. On the page, readers need clearer structure, fewer asides and a reason to keep turning pages.
Christian readers are also discerning. They notice a verse quoted out of context, a translation that changes halfway through a chapter, or a claim about church history that is not quite right. Those small errors undermine trust in the larger message.

Quoting the Bible: translations and permissions
Most modern Bible translations are under copyright, and each publisher sets its own rules for how much you can quote without asking. Some allow several hundred verses, or more, as long as the quotations stay below a set share of your book and do not reproduce a complete book of the Bible. The limits and the required copyright notice differ from one translation to the next, so check the permission notice of the translation you use.
We check every quotation against the translation you name, make sure the reference is correct, and prepare the copyright notice your translation requires for the copyright page. If you quote from several translations, we label each one consistently so readers know which version they are reading.
If your book quotes heavily, for example a study that reprints whole chapters, we will tell you early that you may need written permission from the publisher of that translation.

Christian book covers follow the same rule as any genre: they should look like the books their readers already buy. A devotional cover reads very differently from a theology title or a faith-based romance. We show you comparable covers in your category before designing.
Format follows use. Bible studies and workbooks often need a larger trim size and wide margins for writing. Devotionals suit a smaller size that is easy to carry. Many authors also want a large-print edition for older readers.
Churches, ministries and small groups are often the first readers of a Christian book. We can prepare bulk-order paperback files, a leader's guide and ebook editions alongside the retail listing.

Yes, and it is a common project. We transcribe or work from your notes, group the material by theme, remove repetition that works in speech but not on the page, and shape it into chapters. You review every chapter before it moves forward.
Yes. We lay out workbooks with question prompts and writing space, usually in a larger trim size, and can produce a separate leader's guide. Writing space works best in print; the ebook edition can keep the questions without the blank lines.
Yes. Faith-based fiction is edited like any novel, for plot, character and pacing, with attention to how the faith element is handled so it feels part of the story. Content expectations vary between Christian fiction readers, so we discuss your audience early.
