Announcements
Company news
This is where we post news about Content Writing Square: new services, changes to how we work, and updates our clients and partners should know about. We keep announcements factual and dated, and we do not publish "news" for the sake of having something on the page.
For writing advice rather than company news, our blog covers business blogging, website copy, product descriptions, white papers and guest posting in practical detail.
For journalists
Media enquiries
We are happy to help journalists, podcasters and researchers working on stories about content writing, self-publishing or small-business marketing.
Comment and background
Practical perspective on how businesses commission content, how self-publishing works for first-time authors, and what makes writing useful to readers.
Company information
What we do, how our in-house team is organised and which services we offer. We only confirm facts we can stand behind.
How to reach us
Send your request through the contact page with your deadline and publication, and mark it as a media enquiry.

Press releases
Looking to publish your own press release?
If you are here because you need a press release written for your own business, book or event, that is one of our writing services. A release works when it contains actual news, leads with it in the first sentence, and gives a journalist enough facts, quotes and contact detail to write a story without having to chase you.
We write releases in standard news format and can advise on where to send them. We do not promise pickup or coverage: whether a journalist runs a story is their decision, and any service that guarantees it is selling something other than journalism.
Quick reference
What makes an announcement worth reading
The same rules apply to our own news and to the releases we write for clients.
- There is something new: a launch, a change, a result or an event with a date
- The news is in the headline and first sentence, not the fourth paragraph
- Facts can be checked, and claims are not inflated
- A quote says something a fact cannot, rather than repeating the headline
- There is a clear contact for anyone who wants to follow up

Questions about our newsroom
Still unsure about something? Talk to a specialist — no script, no sales pitch.
Use the contact page and say that your message is a media enquiry. Include your name, the publication or programme, what you would like to know and your deadline. We will confirm whether we can help and who will respond, and we will not send a vague statement if a straight answer is possible.
We write press releases for clients and can advise on distribution. What we will not do is promise that a release will be picked up or published by a particular outlet. That decision belongs to editors and journalists. A clearly newsworthy, well-written release gives it the best chance.
Our blog covers practical topics such as how often to publish business blog posts, how to write an about page that builds trust, how long product descriptions should be and when a white paper is worth producing. It is written by the same team that writes for our clients.
Yes. If you write about publishing, writing or marketing and want to recommend us, our affiliate program explains how referrals work. If you need facts about the company for an article, ask through the contact page so we can confirm them rather than leave you relying on old information.
When there is real news to share. We would rather have a short page of dated, accurate announcements than a long page of filler. For regular reading, the blog is updated far more often. If you want to hear about new services, ask through the contact page.
